Earth Day Fun

Earth Day Fun

Happy Earth Day!

Just like moms, dads, grandparents, teachers, friendships ... we should celebrate them and our planet every day!

This Saturday is Earth Day. What better way to celebrate than getting outside and gathering for a picnic. We've got you covered elevating simple foods.

Some OTOT options:
* Creamy goat cheese with a drizzle of local honey
* A simple pasta salad with fresh herbs, lemon, and extra virgin
* Oil cured olives with citrus zest
* Small batch jams, salsas, and sauces
* Grassy extra virgin bathed in RIZE UP Sourdough (delivered on Saturday)

Or come by OTOT and paint a rock!

You Rock!

Outside the shop is a sweet little rocking chair for the wee ones to sit and enjoy. It's colorful and full of words of inspiration. There also is a little puppy. Only the very wee ones know it's real. They come by and pet it, wash it, make sure it has water. It doesn't bark, bite, or poo.

One day we noticed a little rock that reads "Dawgie Forever." We don't know where it came from but we love it. So we thought it'd be a fun Earth Day activity to PAINT ROCKS! Come by, get a rock and paint it or write a message. Take it home or leave it in our little garden.

We'll have some tastings, snacks and mocktails for you to enjoy. 11-3pm

Roasted Artichokes
On a recent road trip, we had grilled artichokes with an olive oil garlic dip. The smokey, crispy leaves were finger licking good. There are many ways to prepare and eat artichokes. Cold artichokes are good too. Here's a recipe for a roasted artichoke with a Mediterranean flare. If you're up for making an aioli, here's a great recipe.

Pizza with Asparagus & Goat Cheese

We love pizza. You can put anything on top. Zip it up with a creamy goat cheese or feta (both available at OTOT) like this pizza recipe.

Drizzle with spicy olive oil or Kuali chili oil (also at OTOT). How about a little balsamic? That'll work too!

If you're thinking a backyard picnic, try using naan flatbread.
