Maple Balsamic Candied Pecans

Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups raw pecan halves
  • 3 tbsp. Maple Balsamic Vinegar*
  • ¼ cup mild EVOO*
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • Maldon salt for finishing*

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, and water.
  • Add the walnuts and toss to coat well.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
  • Evenly lay the nuts on the baking sheet.
  • Cook in the oven for 20 minutes, stirring every 5. Stay close to the kitchen the last 5 minutes to make sure your nuts don’t burn.
  • Remove the pecans from the oven and finish with Maldon salt.
  • Let them cool while stirring frequently to prevent clumping.

Add to salads, granola & yogurt, trail mix, or enjoy on their own.
