Maple Balsamic Candied Pecans
Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 cups raw pecan halves
- 3 tbsp. Maple Balsamic Vinegar*
- ¼ cup mild EVOO*
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tbsp. water
- Maldon salt for finishing*
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, and water.
- Add the walnuts and toss to coat well.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
- Evenly lay the nuts on the baking sheet.
- Cook in the oven for 20 minutes, stirring every 5. Stay close to the kitchen the last 5 minutes to make sure your nuts don’t burn.
- Remove the pecans from the oven and finish with Maldon salt.
- Let them cool while stirring frequently to prevent clumping.
Add to salads, granola & yogurt, trail mix, or enjoy on their own.
